Cuba Gooding jr. plays OJ Simpson in “American Crime Story”

“Jerry Maguire” actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is playing OJ Simpson in the new movie “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”. 

The film is about the footballer life, especially his murder trial. The movie premieres on FX channel yesterday.

Cuba Gooding Jr. is playing OJ Simpson who was acquitted in 1995 after murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.

Cuba Gooding Jr. shared his opinion about the movie. He said that there was one scene that was really  emotional for him to film:

When we did the funeral scene and O.J. kissed Nicole. And we broke for lunch and I just wept in my trailer.

Because when I heard the not-guilty verdicts I celebrated, I was like, cool, there’s another black man who didn’t get caught by the police. And I felt the guilt for not grieving for the families and the loss, whoever killed them. That really broke me down that day.
