Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson et Forest Whitaker tournent des scènes pour Black Nativity

Les acteurs Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson et Forest Whitaker étaient sur une plateau de tournage pour filmer des scènes pour le prochain évènement musical Black Nativity à New York.

La star et actrice du film “Betty & Coretta”, Angela Bassett était sur le plateau de tournage en compagnie de Forrest Whitaker.

‘Black Nativity’ follows Langston (JACOB LATIMORE), a street-wise teen from Baltimore raised by a single mother, as he journeys to New York City to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives Reverend Cornell and Aretha Cobbs (FOREST WHITAKER and ANGELA BASSETT). Unwilling to live by the imposing Reverend Cobbs’ rules, a frustrated Langston is determined to return home to his mother, Naima (JENNIFER HUDSON). Langston embarks on a surprising and inspirational journey and along with new friends, and a little divine intervention, he discovers the true meaning of faith, healing, and family.

Jennifer Hudson, qui fait maintenant partie du casting de “Smash” sur NBC et dont la récente performance au SuperBowl avec les élèves de Sandy Hook, était aussi près de Times Square pour tourner une scène.

Kasi Lemmons, responsable du script et de la direction, a affirmé qu’il s’agissait d’une histoire universelle de la foi et de la famille, un marqueur dans notre histoire, une introduction au Gospel, au Hip Hop et au R&B.

Les fans pourront voir cette comédie musicale avec les paroles et arrangements du producteurs Raphael Saadiq. D’autres artistes feront partie du casting: Mary J.Bige, Nas, Tyrese, Luke James pour ne citer que ceux-ci.
